There are various theories about this: people don’t feel safe meeting after Covid “everyone” on dating apps is married/spoken for and is just looking for flirtation and casual sex or – perhaps closer to the truth – our lives are so busy that while the desire to meet someone is there, the work/family/social diary won’t allow the time. The problem is, so many people don’t actually meet face to face. ![]() So it has played its part in ensuring that now no one feels ashamed, humiliated or ridiculed at being a “lonely heart”. I appreciate that during Covid online dating was the only way to meet anyone. ![]() Book clubs are ideal for meeting new people.
